Hi all, I have a problem here that even stumped the repair man. My dryer (Maytag MGDX655DW2 gas) timer will non accelerate. I replaced the timer motor, and the trouble persisted. Non knowing what else to do, I called the repair homo, and he replaced the cycling thermostat. He also took the motorcar apart and cleaned information technology. Still didn't set the problem. It heats up just never stops. Neither the timer nor the sensor side of the timer exercise anything. Anyone take any suggestions?

Hi, Put the dryer on TIMED Dry and run across if timer advances, if so, and your absolutely sure your vent is clear and lots of air is bravado exterior skillful, then its your control board thats bad, which causes the timer not to advance in auto-dry out.
Another member had this same problem and the new lath stock-still it:
To get in your console, unplug your dryer first, and watch the video beneath.
Y'all can order the lath here:

Timed dry doesn't piece of work, and the vent is articulate, so the control board makes sense. I ordered the role, and I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the advice.

Await, don't club the control board, because if the timer DOES Non advance in TIMED DRY, the control board won't fix information technology. The control board is but for AUTO-Dry.
If your getting 115 to 120 volts to the timer motor and its non advancing, then your timer is bad. Did you or the tech volt test the timer motor when its running?
As well you said you replaced the timer motor, but you can't only supersede the timer motor, you lot have to replace the entire timer that comes with the timer motor.
Here's the entire timer for your model you can lodge:

Yeah, when I originally said I replaced the timer motor, that's the function I replaced -- the timer. Then unless I have two bad timers in a row, I don't remember it could be that. And the tech replaced the cycling thermostat. So what's left? The tech said all the knobs run in a circuit, so 1 of them might be out before the circuit hits the timer. Could that exist information technology?

Remember what I said here:--->If your getting 115 to 120 volts to the timer motor and its not advancing, then your timer is bad. Did you or the tech volt examination the timer motor when its running?
You volition need a multimeter to check the volts to the timer motor, I'thou surprised the tech. didn't check the volts.
